Acid Plus: Understand acid base when you don’t

Acid Plus is a new iPhone app that interprets acid base status in a simple interface. It definitely fills a need. I never quite understood this stuff and spend a lot of time trying to figure it out.

Basically works by dialling up the values you have, and then comparing them to what they should be. If you turn the phone on it’s side, you get a pretty graph. And it looks like it supports international units as well.

I don’t use acid-base regularly in my research, but I there has been some nice buzz about this app from clinical doctors. So it is definitely worth a look, fro students and doctors alike.
