Cut price Mac software for the back to school bunch
When the Northern Hemisphere goes back to school, we get a unique opportunity to spend less on core mac software. There are a number of opporunities out there, not all of which require educational identification.
Mac Bundle Box
Mac Bundle Box is offering a back to school special containing some pretty cool programs for just $50.
The applications included:
Simple word processor (Writeroom), Simple UI feed reader (Headline), Video capture tool (Dream capture), System management (MacPilot), Photo cataloguing (Shoebox express), Notes management (Caboodle), Audiobook creator (Narrator), Financial app (Money), Basic project management application (Operation), and others.
Included games are iConquer (similar to Risk), Mahjong forests
Mac Update Bundle
The MacUpdate Bundle is also on sale at the moment, and contains some great software. $50 includes:
Devon agent (an internet research tool),
Mellel (a OSX word processor)
Contactizer Pro (contact management)
MacJournal
Bookends (Mac optimized reference organizer)
Light Zone (photo editor)
The less useful apps included are Periscope (video monitoring through iSight), Hookup (itunes sharing utility), a video editing package and an alarm clock.

Other applications offering back to school discounts include Reference Tracker (35% off until Sept 30, usually $45). And Devon software also has a 25% educational discount, which is worth checking out.
