PubSearch offers desktop access to PubMed searches
Pubsearch is a desktop link to PubMed. If you are searching PubMed a lot, it can be a pain to have your browser open. This software has a great interface. It is so simple to use that the user documentation is a soundless screencast on the download page, and that is sufficient.
Features include:
- Search within program, with display of PubMed results, including abstracts and keyword tags
- Pop up with PubMed search syntax
- Select results and drag and drop into text editor, formatted as reference with active links to article abstract
- Link to internet article downloads, including ability to set a library portal page.
If you use PubMed a lot, then this is a nice utility. If you also need to search, collate and read the articles and abstracts, you should consider Papers, which includes a powerful PubMed search.
