Using an iPod to make your medical life easier
I recently read a great post by the Online Education DB which talked about great ways to use your iPod to improve your study-life.
The guide pointed out some sites that are great for medical types, and I will rehash a few of those here. For the full article, read the full post.
This site offers iPod versions of popular study texts. You have to pay for them, but it includes copy of lots of useful stuff, including Netter’s anatomy flashcards. Unfortunately, only compatible with Classic, video and 2G Nanos. iPhone/iTouch users are not welcome, so I haven’t tried this one out.
Learn Out Loud
This is a great site of free audio downloads. Obviously, some are more useful than others, but there is a big medical section, which has some interesting titles, including a speech by Dr James Watson (you know, the DNA guy), some interesting medical research “technique/problem solving” speeches, and secondary links to lots of the big US college medical podcasts.
Books on Board
A ebook and audio book shop that carries Textbooks.
They include a whole bunch of good links to podcasts and similar. I plan to get into podcasts a bit more in a later post, once I have had a better chance to review those out there.
What are your best suggestions for iPod learning hacks for Medicine and Surgery?
